100 Days to New Years: Quit Smoking Resolution

You can still make your new year’s resolution come true, you have 100 days left! If your new year’s resolution was to quit smoking then here is how you can do it in only 100 days.

  1. Make a list why you want to quit:

It is important to identify the reasons of why you should quit smoking. Making a list of those reasons will serve as a reminder especially during those times you feel the urge to reach for that cigarette.

  1. Start Today:

Otherwise you will simply keep telling yourself that “this will be my last cigarette” but we both know it won’t be true! Instead, make a pact with yourself that by the end of those 100 days, you’ll be completely free of your addiction.

  1. Snack:

Fight smoke cravings with healthy snacks. Try some seeds or nuts when your cravings start getting annoying. Stay away, however, from heavy sweets. Snack smart!

  1. Distract yourself:

Every time you feel like a cigarette try distracting yourself with something; it is definitely helpful to go workout, or even watch one of the zillion TV series out there; whatever works really!

  1. Don’t let go:

 If you’re one of these who quit cold turkey all together then quitting during the day should be eased by fasting, we’d recommend you to keep up the good work. Otherwise, you’ll end up chain smoking and won’t even realize it until a full pack is done.

6. Reward Yourself

Have a CT scan done today and when you achieve 100 days of smoke free lungs by new years have another scan to see before and after.
