Most of the outings in our beloved city is revolved around food, food and more food. This Easter school break, I came across this new Trampoline Park, AirZone, located in Point 90 Mall (across the corridor from the cinema) in New Cairo. My kids and I were so excited, as you walk in you are greeted by friendly, young and jumping-up-and-down staff!
The sessions start each hour on the hour, the fees are EGP 100 for a slot of 45 minutes (75 EGP for children under 5) -you also gotta buy a pair of reusable air socks for EGP 20. I was encouraged by the staff to join in “It is meant for grown ups, not just for children” – OK, here we go! It is loads of addictive fun, I can assure you, you jump higher and higher, you bounce and fall and up again in seconds only to start all over again, in minutes you master the fall.
They have got educational videos that you must watch prior to going in so that you know you what you should and shouldn’t do. I thought that is quite professional. In addition to the trampolines, you have got Dodge Ball, Basket Ball, Foam Pit, Wall Climbing, Volley Ball and AirWall. I was also impressed with the fitness level of many middle aged mums and dads competing with their teenagers for higher jumps and twists. While there, there was Parkour Egypt group putting up a great show.
At the end of the session, I felt that my muscles have tightened, and evidence of endorphin release – the feeling you get after a good workout. I was also covered in sweat. I wish there were showers there though! They have a cafeteria upstairs, overlooking the ramp, if you would like to sit down and watch your kids, they serve refreshments . It seems that you could also book the entire cafeteria for birthday parties.
I hit home and research the topic online, sure enough I found many reliable resources that suggest health benefits of rebounding including cardiovascular fitness, coordination, agility, muscle toning and more.
