Proper nutrition is a central strategy you can use to reduce your risk of cancer. Researches have shown that certain foods can fight cancer. Look no further than your refrigerator, remove all the unhealthy food you have and make sure that your next visit to the supermarket should include the following list of anti-cancer foods:

1- Garlic: The number one anti-cancer food! It contains substances like allicin that stops cancer growth completely or keep cancer cells from multiplying. Garlic also contains selenium, tryptophan and sulphur based active ingredients that attack cancer cells. It is best known for fighting breast, colon and stomach cancers. Eat one clove of garlic raw at least once per day.


2- Tomatoes:  It is the best source for lycopene, which is a prime ingredient used to stop endometrial cancer cells from growing. The juicy red orbs protect the DNA in your cells from the damage that may lead to cancer. It helps in fighting lung, prostate and stomach cancers. You can eat pasta with cooked tomatoes sauce to reduce your risk to cancer; or even better, add more tomatoes to your green salad!


3- Broccoli: Contains cancer-fighting ingredients which eliminate toxins. Also it has sulforaphane-  a particular strong compound that increases the body’s protective enzymes which destroys cancer-causing chemicals. Broccoli helps fight breast, liver, lung, skin, bladder and stomach cancer. Try to eat broccoli more by adding it to salads, omelets or on pizzas.


4- Walnuts:  It has been proven that walnuts slow cancer cells’ growth and block estrogen receptors in breast cancer cells. Walnuts have anti-Inflammatory properties due to the presence of omega-3 fat alpha-linolenic acid. That’s what gives walnuts tumor fighting potential.They help in fighting breast and prostate cancers.


5- Strawberries: In addition to their great taste, strawberries contain powerful antioxidants that stop harmful radicals – which lead to cancer, and keeps cancer cells from spreading. Strawberries help in deactivating specific carcinogens due to the presence of Ellagic acid which is also a strong anti-angiogenetic. Strawberries help in fighting skin, bladder, lung and breast cancer. .


6- Salomon: Salomon is rich with Omega-3 fats, which is known as a potent antiinflammatory due its ability to kill negative hormones called eicosanoids. Fish oil also contains Vitamin A, which is a very important vitamin in fighting cancer. Salmon helps in fighting prostate, breast and colon cancer. It is adviced to eat salomon and fish in general at least once a week.


7- Dark Chocolate: Good News! It has been proven that dark chocolates reduce your risk of cancer as they contain powerful antioxidants that fight cancer-causing free radicals. Replace Milk chocolates with organic dark chocolate and reduce your risk to cancer.


8- Lemons: Lemons are high in vitamin C, so they are potent antioxidants which prevent cancer and slow its growth rate. Try to drink lemonade more often or simply add lemon to plain water to flavor it up.
