We all get bored of eating at home and we would like to go and enjoy a meal out every once in a while, but choosing a healthy lifestyle calls for healthy eating, it can be hard to go to restaurants and enjoy a nice healthy meal.

We are on the look out for healthy restaurants to make it easier for you to stay on the right track even when you are enjoying a meal outside! One of our favorite picks so far is, Be Good to You at Katameya Heights, New Cairo. It’s right by the Tennis Courts, with amazing pool view if you choose to sit outside. If you however, would like to sit inside then don’t worry it’s also an amazing cozy atmosphere that makes it feel like home!

Now moving on to the most important part, THE FOOD!

  • The Breakfast Bowl (55 EGP)

The perfect way to kick off your morning is this Smoothie Breakfast Bowl! It is made out of Greek yogurt, beetroot, granola, chia seeds, banana and strawberry, oats, peanut butter and flax seeds. All of the ingredients above are full of nutrients and vitamins that are very good for your health. It is full of antioxidant, omega 3, protein, good carbs, calcium, and probiotic. The Bowl has the healthy crunch of the granola and the fruity addition of the bananas and strawberries! You can barely taste the beetroot so if you are not a big fan, you don’t have to worry about it. Breakfast is served Weekdays until 1:00 Pm and Weekends until 2:00 PM.

  • Gluten-Free Pancakes (75 EGP)

It is two pancakes stuffed with fresh fruits and topped with honey. The pancakes are of course gluten free. The fruits were delicious but the pancakes were very dry, definitely not their best dish. The fruits however made up for the dryness of the pancakes.

  • Roasted Carrot and Avocado Salad (65 EGP)

The perfect mix of colors, we loved how the Roasted carrot and avocado salad combines two very healthy ingredients. Carrots that have several benefits, like the ability to fight colon cancer, and they are also great for your heart health. And the creamy avocado is known to be healthy fat! The dressing is a bit citrusy and adds a great flavor to the salad. You can also add extra protein chicken for 35 EGP which makes a total of 100 EGP for a salad which can be a little pricey.

  • Chicken Freekah (78 EGP)

If you are hungry after an afternoon workout or just craving a healthy lunch than this is your go to plate. This Chicken freekeh plate is a nutritious balance of grains, veggies and protein. In particular, freekeh is high in protein and a high-fiber food, it actually contains three times more fiber than brown rice, that keeps you feeling full for a longer time The vegetables in this plate are crispy, fresh and colorful, this plate is definitely my absolute favorite.

We also enjoyed their tasty hot chocolate with peanut butter which makes it the perfect amount of sweet!

We couldn’t leave without trying out their desserts, we had the Chocolate Brownie which is sugar free, gluten free and dairy free and it’s topped with Banana Ice cream that consists of Banana, Honey and Almond Milk that complimented the chocolate perfectly. The best part is that the ice cream didn’t melt!

To sum up, this definitely became one of our favorite restaurants! If you don’t mind paying a little extra, then it would be your favorite restaurant too. The best part is that because of the quality and freshness of the food you will not regret the extra cash and you will leave the place feeling healthy and happy!
