Who doesn’t want a flat belly? We ALL DO! Feeling bloated is not funny and causes physical discomfort. The most common causes of bloating are drinking too much sodas, easting too fast, eating too much, and eating gassy food. But the good news is that you could beat that bloating in simple and natural ways. Just follow the below steps to get that flat belly you all want, but keep in mind that we’re not talking about losing fat here.

  1. Don’t Eat Too Fast or Too Much: When you eat quickly, you’re not chewing the food well, which would cause air swallowing, and that leads to bloating. So eat slowly and try to eat smaller meals instead of eating 3 big ones during the day.
  1. Skip Sodas and Chewing Gum: Yes, we know you love to drink soda especially with your meals but please try to skip it and drink water flavored with lemon, cucumber or mint instead; You would love it just try! Ladies, we’re not asking you to stop chewing gum but don’t overdo it as it would cause air swallowing that leads to bloating. Remember, you want to look good in that new outfit you just got!
  1. Easy on GASSY Vegetables: Beans, lentils, broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower are gassy vegetables. So easy on these veggies but you shouldn’t stop eating them because they’re rich in fiber, which is very good for you. One thing you could do is to soak beans and lentils for at least 2 hours before you start cooking to get that unwanted gas out. If you love “MA7SHY KORONEB” like most of Egyptians, just don’t overdo it and drink peppermint afterwards; you would feel much better!
  1. Try Natural Anti-Bloating Food: Mint, ginger, pineapple, parsley, anise and yogurt act as natural anti-bloating.
    • You could chew mint leaves or drink it as tea.
    • Ginger is a potent digestive aid, you could chop 2 teaspoon of fresh ginger, place it in a cup of hot water then drink. This would help reduce belly gas and bloating.
    • Pineapple contains a natural digestive enzyme called bromelain that helps to reduce gas and bloating. You could add it to your smoothie or your salad for a change!
    • Yogurt contains natural probiotics (good bacteria), which helps to reduce gas. So how about having some yogurt after your dinner tonight?
    • Anise helps to expel gasout of your body and reduce bloating as well. Try to boil 1 teaspoon of Anise seed in 1 cup of hot water and drink it up, you would notice the result!
